Web Application Developer
VRStorm Inc. is Canada’s first infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud provider. As business grows, a Web Developer is needed to support the marketing, cloud, company intranet and project web sites, interfaces and back-end technologies. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer and Chief Operations Officer.
Responsibilities
- Company Marketing Web Site Design, Development and Maintenance
- Working with the marketing team, determine corporate look and feel, layout, messaging and content for company marketing web site
- Rapidly develop web site mock-ups for feedback
- Select appropriate deployment technologies
- Implement professional corporate web site that is easy to maintain and keep fresh with new information - Company Intranet Support
- Working with the CIO and COO, select, implement and support corporate intranet tools such as cloud-based file systems, wiki, shared calender, customer relationship management system, project management tools. - Project Web Sites
- Quickly implement web sites and/or wikis for different projects. - Cloud User Interface
- Enhance and support cloud user interface. - Electronic Commerce and Customer Management System
- Evaluate and implement e-commerce system.
- Link to customer management and accounting system.
Qualifications
- A degree in computer science, technical diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience with many of the following: HTML 5, CSS, Java, Javascript, PHP, ColdFusion (CFML and/or ActionScript), XML, ExtJs and jQuery, REST, SOAP, MySQL.
- Experience in theming and customizing in WordPress, Drupal, Sugar, Confluence, Zen, Alfresco and/or other similar tools.
- Experience with Unix/Linux and Microsoft operating systems.
- Certification in Red Hat and/or Microsoft desirable and preferred.
- Familiarity with Project Management methodologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
